Year 1 and 2 had a great time this morning at Nelson Thomlinson, completing lots of events for athletics.

Ofsted (May 2015) said, "The primary school physical education and sport funding is used well to broaden sporting opportunities for pupils and develop the expertise of staff. Using specialist coaches has, for example, led to increased opportunities in activities such as gymnastics and tennis. Pupils learn to dance and recently performed in a theatre in the city of Carlisle. All of this has increased pupils’ participation in engaging in healthy lifestyles in school and beyond."

Last week a team from year 5 and 6 represented the school in the TAG rugby competition - they came 3rd - WELL DONE to the team. Here are a few photos

Year 1, 2 and 3 have thoroughly enjoyed their cricket sessions with Cricket Chris, they had their last session today applying all the skills they have learnt by playing a cricket match! Miss Edwards learnt some new cricket skills herself. Thank you Chris.

Class 4-Some of Year 5 and 6 played in a football tournament on Tuesday 15th September 2015, they did really well.

Year 1, 2 and 3 had a morning of cricket with cricket Chris, he is going to be taking them for a few weeks to develop their cricket skills. Here are some photos from week one.
