On our last day of the spring term we had a visit from the carnival of the animals!! It was lots of fun and we learnt all sorts about music! We also enjoyed lots of fun at the bug ball, playing all kinds of team games-bumble bee toss, fly swatting, worm eating, bug blaster etc...
Today 28.3.18 as a school we learnt about the Easter story.
Class 3 have enjoyed doing some Easter crafts today. We are getting that Easter feeling. Class 3 and 4 also enjoyed the Easter egg challenge.
This week is our last week looking at Rainforests. Today we focused on the layers of the rainforest, researching what grows and lives in the different areas. Here are our Rainforest layers.
We know that the Emergent layer is the tallest.
Parrots and toucans enjoy the rainforest
In the Canopy layer birds like to live.
Snakes like to slither up the trees.
In the understory monkeys can swing.
Bugs, jaguars, leopards etc.. roam.
Today-23.3.18, Richard the bug man came in to talk about different creatures. We talked about creatures that would live in the Rainforest. It was really interesting to find things out.
Class 3, Elaine and Miss Edwards had a lovely time exploring our school woodland area. There were so many microhabitats.
Class 3 have been looking at instructions, we followed steps of instructions to make a tropical rainforest fruit salad, it was delicious!
As part of our science topic we have been looking at some of the local habitats.
